People who like watching reality TV shows about the paranormal should know that Season 3 of Paranormal Lockdown is set to start up soon. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that the marketing for the upcoming season has started up as well, which means the expected stories of incredible findings that are used to build hype with interested individuals. Regardless, Paranormal Lockdown has proven to be rather entertaining in the past, meaning that the upcoming season should prove worth watching no matter how it is being marketed.
What Is Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman’s Claim about Season 3 of Paranormal Lockdown?
For those who are curious, Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman have made a number of claims about what they have found while staying at various locations for 72 hours at a time. For example, Groff claimed that the evidence was “mind-blowing,” which was followed up by a claim that a skeptic actually changed his opinion of the paranormal upon seeing it. Meanwhile, Weidman claimed that she had seen something that she had never seen before while backing up Groff’s claim in the process. Finally, both of them made comments to the effect that they were seeing more and more activity, thus contributing to the general air of excitement that they are attempting to build.
Unsurprisingly, Groff and Weidman haven’t exactly provided a great deal of proof with which to back up their rather extravagant claims. After all, Season 3 of Paranormal Lockdown has not been released, meaning that it would be premature for them to release their supposed evidence at this time. This is understandable because of the nature of marketing, but upon encountering it, one cannot help but feel skeptical about such claims.
Is This Believable?
At this point in time, there is no real way to tell whether there is any truth to Groff and Weidman’s claims of such incredible findings. After all, the supposed evidence has not been released, meaning that there is nothing that can be used to form a judgment of our own. With that said, considering that the existence of the paranormal is a rather extraordinary claim, said evidence would have to be rather extraordinary in nature for it to be believable.
Speaking bluntly, if the supposed evidence is indeed as “mind-blowing” as it has been made out to be, one cannot help but wonder why Groff and Weidman have not brought it to the scientific community. Despite the semi-popular belief that scientists are insistent on a particular interpretation of the universe in spite of the facts presented to them, there are countless people in the scientific community who would love to go down in history as the one who overturned the scientific understanding of the universe, which would not just cement their reputation for all time but also ensure a place in the popular consciousness for those who want it. Simply put, even if one does not believe in the genuine desire to understand the universe on the part of scientists, one would at least expect them to be motivated to some extent by the prospect of fame and fortune, which is what confirmation of the paranormal would mean for those who could prove it.
Regardless, Paranormal Lockdown is watch-worthy because it is entertaining rather than because of its scientific accuracy, meaning that this is perhaps not a particularly relevant complaint. For the time being, nothing is known about when Season 3 will be released save that it will be released in 2018, meaning that interested individuals should continue keeping a close eye for further news to come out.
