General Hospital fans know that Sonny is in a bad place in life right now. The past year has been about all things horrible thanks to him and his job. His son is dead. His wife left him and tried to divorce him. His stepdaughter hates him and wants to make him completely miserable using her mother, his wife, as the weapon. He hates that by asking Carly to stay with him he is asking her to forgo a good relationship with her daughter. It’s not good for him, and things are not looking good now that Michael has decided to fall for the girl who lied about sleeping with Sonny and broke up his marriage once and for all.
Life has not been kind to him. He’s been in danger. His best friend’s wife tried to kill him. His best friend is in a coma while his wife sits by his bedside and hopes he wakes up for her sake and the sake of their small kids. It doesn’t help she’s battling a serious illness.
He is going to see her. He is compelled to speak to her and to apologize to her, and we aren’t sure she will really forgive him. She doesn’t blame him entirely. She knows it’s the job, and she loves him. But she also knows her family cannot take this anymore, and it might be the moment she decides that if her husband wakes up they will focus on themselves and not spend time with Sonny anymore.
