It’s not that a musician hasn’t ever gotten stuff thrown at them on stage before but it’s certainly funnier and more entertaining when it’s Justin Bieber. The video I’m about to show you is example of something I find to be quite humorous if only because Bieber kind of deserved it. If you’re a superstar in the industry you might want to memorize some of your hits. Clearly Bieber had no clue that the remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” would be as successful as it was. But given the song’s success it’s a little surprising that he never seemed to consider eventually memorizing the lyrics.
“I can’t do ‘Despacito.’ I don’t even know it,” he said on stage at Summerburst Festival in Stockholm, responding to a request. After he failed to comply, a fan pelted a water bottle at him, which is not the way to settle things. Last time Bieber attempted to sing the song, he improvised with words like “burrito” that absolutely were not the correct lyrics.
I guess we can give Bieber brownie points for his honesty right? Nah, screw this guy. Just watch the flying water bottle below:
