I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: male cosplayers don’t get enough respect. It’s one of the few areas where I think there’s a legitimate reverse sexism problem. You rarely if ever see a male cosplayer get the kind of follow counts on social media that the females do. It’s not like I’m here totally whining about it though. It is what it is but I felt it was certainly worth mentioning. If you haven’t heard of Stoosh, I don’t blame you. The guy only has 2,600 likes on his FB page yet the stuff he puts out is incredible.
As seen on Nerdist, Reddit, TheChive, Heman.org, Kotaku, Buzzfeed, Stan Winston School of Character Arts, Bioware, The Replica Prop Forum, UPROXX, Movie Pilot, Comics Alliance, Cosplay Culture, Share My Cosplay, iCosplay Magazine, Cosplay Fever, Men vs.Cosplay and more! I started cosplaying at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo back in 2012 as Skeletor from the original Masters of the Universe cartoon. I love the creative outlet of costuming and try to cover all of my favorite characters. I keep all of my costumes under $125 Canadian dollars and usually this includes a bigger ticket item such as boots, contact lenses, drywall stilts, etc.
What’s his latest project? Pennywise, and let me just say that I haven’t slept for a few days after seeing these. I’m completely obsessed with It despite not even liking horror movies. I have to see this film. I feel like it’ll be some kind of therapeutic experience. Prepare to have nightmares after these photos:
