By now you’ve probably heard of the Kardashian Curse. According to “experts,” men who date one of the Kardashians are affected by a hex that ensures bad things happen to them. In fact, Scott Disick, who is best known for his tumultuous relationship with Kourtney, has seen a psychic to rid himself of the Kardashian Curse. While several men have been affected by the curse, here are the top 5 men who have suffered the wrath of the Kardashian Curse moreso than any other.
Scott DIsick
As early as 2012, Scott was hit by the hex, when the NYC restaurant he owned was closed after only 191 days in business. In 2014, Scott has experienced the death of both his parents within 3 months of each other. Since then, things have gone downhill. He’s battled alcoholism, went to rehab, relapsed, and suffered from kidney problems. He’s made multiple attempts to get back together with Kourtney, who not only continuously shoots him down, but also limits his time with his children, which, of course, is brought on by his own bad behavior.
Kris Humphries
Prior to his infamous 72-day marriage to Kim in 2011, Kris was on track to have an above par NBA career. In 2010, he recorded two record high games with 15 and 21 points. The following season, he averaged a double-double in points and rebounds. In 2012, things came to a screeching halt as he battled through a lengthy divorce that saw Kim get pregnant with Kanye West’s child. That season, he averaged 6.4 points per game and was hit with all kinds of bad press. Currently, he’s been traded multiple times and is trying to rebuild his career with the Atlanta Hawks.
Tristan Thompson
According to Thompson’s teammate, LeBron James, the Kardashian Curse is real and the reason for the Cleveland Cavs losing streak. The Cavs, who won the NBA Championship in 2016, have dealt with several losing streaks during the 2017 season since Tristan started dating Khloe. In fact, they were handed 4 straight losses before entering the playoffs. Additionally, after appearing in 447 games in a row (longest active streak in the NBA), Thompson, nicknamed “Iron Man,” had to sit out a game after spraining his thumb in early April. The two are still dating, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
Kanye West
Despite being a bit of an egomaniac, Kanye was at the top of his game before marrying Kim. Then, it happened. He was caught on stage ranting and raving about previous BFF, Jay Z, as well as Beyonce and Taylor Swift. He also stormed out of concerts before the big event finally happened. In November 2016, he was strapped to a gurney, while ranting incoherently, and sent to UCLA Medical Center, where he was admitted for “his own well-being and safety.” After his release, he canceled his World Tour and has been keeping a low profile ever since. According to his friend, fellow rapper, Akon, the Kardashian Curse may well have been the cause of his psychotic breakdown.
Lamar Odom
Khloe’s ex-husband may have been the worst hit by the Kardashian Curse, after seeing a once promising NBA go down the drain and coming close to dying following a 2015 OD at a Las Vegas brothel. Multiple drugs were found in his system, including high levels of crack cocaine, leading to an extended ICU stay and rehab. He was also rumored to be close to broke, despite a lucrative career. Currently, he is maintaining a low profile, though he is apparently working hard to earn a spot on his former team, the Lakers, coaching staff.
