When I look back on the character of Steve Urkel it’s somewhat easy for me to understand why I wasn’t really a fan. At that time I was younger, dumber, and not appreciative of the greatness of nerds, let alone a super nerd which is effectively what Steven was. And you can bet that Jaleel White was keen on shedding the Urkel nerd image otherwise there’s no way that Stefan would have arisen on Family Matters.
Anyway, you might find this remix of Jaleel White’s mega-geek Steve Urkel to be a lot of fun to watch. You see a couple glimpses of Urkel in a Bruce Lee character in here; it was always fun when sitcoms would allow actors to explore things in their characters that they were clearly passionate about in their real lives.
