While it was suggested by her brother that Carrie Fisher would make a posthumous appearance as General Leia in Episode IX, it’s now been confirmed that The Last Jedi will be her final bow. LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed it this morning on Good Morning America. It was originally thought that Fisher might be making the episode IX appearance by her brother Todd. Either way, there’s been nothing but love for Fisher. Hopefully Todd doesn’t respond negatively to the news.
