Michael Caine’s Incredible Story about Being Mistaken for a Drug Dealer

Over the weekend I shared a fun video of Morgan Freeman re-enacting his character Red from Shawshank Redemption.  This occurred on the Graham Norton show which I’ve mention gets a caliber of guest just as good as our late shows here in the states.   Another guest who was on the show that evening was none other than Michael Caine.    Norton must have been giddy to be talking to Caine and Freeman at the same time (they worked together in the Batman films among other projects).  I know I would have been.

Other than Freeman’s highlight of doing Shawshank Redemption, the audience was also treated to an incredible story that Michael Caine has never told before.   During his appearance on Friday’s Graham Norton Show, Caine explained that he was once accused of being a drug dealer by the host of a party.

“I went over to her, and she said: ‘Are you a drug dealer?’,” Caine says in the clip above. “I said ‘No, why do you ask?’ “She said: ‘Why’s everybody calling you my cocaine?’ “You know that story’s true because you couldn’t make it up,” he finishes.
