Golf will never allow a Happy Gilmore type of golfer on the tour. At least I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t. While it’d be cool to see Bob Barker and a PGA player duke it out on the greens, I’m not holding my breath. However, the new crop of golfers in the PGA are way less conservative than the golfers of old. They’re younger. They party. They’re social media savvy and have huge followings. They’re “cooler” if you will. Golf will never necessarily be a “hip” game but each year it seems that the game is doing something to attract a more youthful crowd.
Speaking of crowds, if there’s one thing that will turn heads at this year’s Masters Tournament it’s model Lindsey Pelas. PGA rookie Grayson Murray asked Lindsay to caddie for him at Augusta via Twitter, she accepted, and when TMZ got her out in L.A. she told us what’s in store for the biggest event in golf. Murray still has to qualify for the tourney, meaning he needs a good showing at this week’s Houston Open, but let’s be honest, I think we’d all like to see Lindsey Pelas caddied Master’s.
If Grayson doesn’t qualify then someone has to step up and give this girl a job. I mean, come on. You want to get ratings Master’s? This is how you’re going to do it. Bar none. Check out what Lindsey had to say about making caddies “sexy” on the fairway.
