It was a fun night on The Late Show last night. Stephen Colbert skewered Jeff Sessions in his opening monologue. He got to sit down with Josh Lucas who told him about the time a machine gun was pointed at him. Andy Daly was also on and Green Day performed the song “Still Breathing.” But if you have to go with a highlight from last night’s viewing it would have to be Ryan Reynolds coming on to talk serious issues.
Right now Reynolds is promoting his new sci-fi thriller Life which many are saying will be introducing a new kind of sci-fi horror genre. He and co-star Jake Gyllenhaal made headlines this week when the two of them were interviewed by a local news channel and completely lost it in the interview. If you haven’t seen it, it’s hilarious. The two of them essentially gave absolutely no qualms about what they were being asked nor how they answered questions. It was one of the better interviews of the year. I highly recommend taking the 10 minutes out of your day to watch it.
Reynolds kept that comedic side handy for Stephen Colbert. In this segment the two of them take out a blanket, lie down under the stars, and decide to try and raise some of the biggest questions in our universe. Enjoy the clip below:
