When you talk about journey man actor careers before they “made it big,” Bryan Cranston may very well have the most diverse resumé of any actor out there. Up until his role as Walter White on Breaking Bad changed his career forever, Cranston was in what felt like hundreds of roles in television and movies. While he was technically in a starring role on Malcolm in the Middle, we all know that Walter White put him into another stratosphere that has lead to his A-list status today.
My personal favorite Cranston role will always be Tim Whatley on Seinfeld that lasted from 1994-1997. But only one year before that Cranston had two bit parts on a show by the name of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He was the voice of “Twinman” and “Snizard.” P.S. Cranston’s got 147 credits on IMDB so yeah, wow.
Also, if there’s one person who has no shame in poking fun at his pre-Walter White career it’s Bryan Cranston. He has zero qualms resurrecting characters of the past and reminiscing about his days as as struggling actor. Speaking of which, Cranston stopped by The Late Show last night and showed Stephen Colbert that he’s a true sport about his days on the Power Rangers set. Much to the delight of the audience and Colbert, Cranston came out as a Red Power Ranger. Needless to say the interview was off to an excellent start.
