Priyanka Chopra and Jimmy Fallon Celebrate Holi With a Classic Paint Fight

I’m not sure if Jimmy Fallon got the memo about his ratings suffering against Stephen Colbert’s in the last five weeks but the beginning of a more political Tonight Show didn’t seem to be in full effect last night.  In fact, Fallon was up to his same old tricks when he had guest Priyanka Chopra on as a guest to celebrity Holi.   For those who don’t know, Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in India and Nepal, also known as the “festival of colors” or the “festival of love.”

The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.  So what better a way to celebrate than making a public paint spectacle on national TV? Jimmy and Priyanka Chopra toast to Holi Festival with a sip of thandai before going at each other’s faces with paint to keep the Hindu tradition going.

I personally think that Fallon should ride out these next four years and keep doing what he does.  It’s not like the show is going to get canceled.  I don’t think he should be any more political than he already is.
