It was an awesome Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. While Colbert tore apart the Michael Flynn resignation he had himself a wonderful Valentine’s Day episode. Christine Baranski stopped by the show to talk about playing Betsy DeVos. Hans Zimmer brought the house down with his composing magic. The show did an excellent segment on Michael Flynn making his Valentine’s day cards. Also, Andrew Garfield and Idina Menzel did a hilarious parody.
However, let’s get back to Michael Flynn. As we all know Flynn resigned as National Security Advisor due to his potential (or should we say actual) ties to Russia. It’s a little more complicated than that but at this point the media as well as other outlets are kicking it up a level and trying to find the link to our actual President Donald Trump. The New York Times published an article yesterday about how the Trump administration was in contact with Russia during the entire election process.
Things are getting interesting to say the least in politics. Stephen Colbert was there to remind us just how crazy things are in fact getting. In his “It’s Funny ‘Cause It’s Treason” monologue Colbert sheds light on just how messed up this thing is:
