The last thing I want to do on this site is report on celebrity pregnancies. However, I do think it’s noteworthy that Amal Clooney is pregnant with twins. If only for the reason that George Clooney is going to become a father for the first time. As a father myself, it’s nice to know that Clooney will get to experience the feeling and it’ll be interesting to see how his perspective on life changes as he experiences fatherhood.
The 55-year-old actor’s wife, Amal Clooney, is pregnant with twins, according to multiple reports. His friend and “Ocean’s Eleven” co-star Matt Damon confirmed the news Thursday. “I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him,” Damon told ET. “And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks.'” Damon, a father of four, recalled telling Clooney: “‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t.”
Even I know that announcing twins at 8 weeks isn’t the greatest idea. Anything can happen during this period. All I can say is that I hope everything goes smoothly for the couple. I happen to be a pretty big fan of George Clooney and while I know very little about Amal Clooney, I have to say that any woman that can reel in George Clooney and turn him into a father has got to be a very impressive piece of work.
