I’d like to start off by saying just how much I think Gotham is killing it this season. The degree to which the show has just stepped it into high gear is marvelous. You’ve got The Joker and Penguin on full blast. We even see a nice dark side to Bruce Wayne which is as awesome as it is creepy. Ben McKenzie’s Gordon is keeping it all together but obviously he’s falling off the hinges, and has to with all the chaos. It’s just been a pleasure to watch and how the show has evolved has been nothing but excellent. The latest promo is looking to bring it even further.
On April 24th, Gotham will return to FOX with an episode entitled “How the Riddler Got his Name.” In the 30 second clip we get a first look at the evolution of the Riddler and also his classic green suit.
As the title of the episode suggests, Cory Michael Smith’s Edward Nygma wearing the costume of The Riddler will happen. The promo below teases us a quick glimpse at the outfit. From the brief moment you see it, the suit does have a resemblance to the comic. There’s no cane but I can only assume an explanation for that has to be coming.
