It’s almost February so we know what that means. It means that The Walking Dead is coming back. While a bunch of still shots have been teased over the past week, we now have an official trailer and synopsis for The Walking Dead’s midseason premiere entitled “Rock in the Road.” While fans were hoping for this inevitable moment, the promo confirms that leaders Rick and Ezekiel will meet face to face for the first time. AMC’s official promo description reads:
The highly anticipated mid-season seven premiere of the #1 show in all of television among adults 18-49, AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” launches Sunday, February 12th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the debut episode, “Rock in the Road,” Rick and the group are led to a new community where they are introduced to its inhabitants and ruler. A familiar face resurfaces.
In the promo it appears that the Alexandrians meet up with the denizens of the Kingdom. Rick will attempt to convince Ezekiel to join him in the battle against Nagan and the saviors. While Ezekiel appears hesitant in this clip, only time will tell if he decides to form an alliance. All indications are that this would be the right move but if The Walking Dead has taught us anything this season, it’s that any kind of indication can be immediately thrown at the window at the drop of a hat. For all we know Ezekiel could kill Rick right then and there. While it’s doubtful, never put anything past the show.
