Corinne Olympios is essentially this year’s “girl who gets the most attention who all the other contestants can’t stand.” And that’s fine because every season needs one of these to boost the ratings. Also, after this many seasons it’s safe to say that fans aren’t watching this show for “true love” anymore. They are watching it for the drama. They are watching it for how raunchy it’s become. They’re watching it so they can yell at the screen. This is why it comes as no surprise that Corinne’s mother even admitted that she’s been faking it on The Bachelor.
TMZ caught up with Peri Olympios who stated that her daughter’s shenanigans – like, say, attempting seduction by wearing a trenchcoat and using whipped cream in a not so subtle manner – are carefully crafted to make Corinne’s time on the show more memorable.
“[Corinne] decided you can be two people… the winner or the villain,” Peri told TMZ. “She took it to the limits. Most of it is fake, even when she decided to lose her top [during the beach bridal shoot], she had coverups on, when she was in the trenchcoat she had a bathing suit on a lot.”
Is anyone else surprised by this at all? If anything The Bachelor has become a springboard for careers. Corinne’s Instagram following has skyrocketed, she’s in the news every single day, and she’s well aware she has to milk this for everything she has. Think about it. 6 weeks of filming can potentially set her up for the rest of her life if she plays her cards right. Who cares if there’s drama? Who cares if the other contestants don’t like you? It’s all fake anyway. Even the viewers know this.
If I’m Corinne’s agent, or even mom for that matter, I’d tell her “keep doing what you’re doing and you might not have to worry about money for the rest of your life.”
