Young Justice Season 3 Officially in Production

Young Justice Season 3

After tons of success since going off the air 2013, Young Justice is finally getting the third season fans have been begging for. Warner Bros. Animation broke the news today, announcing that the show is officially in production.

Producers of the original series, Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman, will be returning to the series. Warner Bros. seems to have high hopes for Young Justice, saying it, “promises new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.”

Young Justice focuses on the sidekicks of the famous DC superheroes in the Justice League, including fan favorites such as Robin, Superboy and Ms. Martian. The show was successful when it initially premiered but was cancelled after only two seasons. Since it’s cancellation, the show has built up a cult following on Netflix, who fans have been hoping will revive the show.

Although no outlet has elected to pick the show up yet, someone should come along and quickly snatch up the opportunity. Netflix would be the first guess considering it currently has the two seasons available for streaming and fans have begged the company to bring Young Justice back to life.

Hopefully more news about the project continues to reveal itself in the near future, but for now fans should be thrilled to hear that a third season will be coming in some form. There are a ton of great stories that need to be properly closed, so even if the show only receives a final third season, it should at least give fans of the show the closure they deserve.
