Gotham Season 3: Once Upon a Time’s Jamie Chung to Recur as Valerie Vale

Gotham Season 3

Gotham City will welcome Once Upon a Time‘s Mulan when it kicks off its third season this fall. Jamie Chung, who has appeared various times on the ABC fairy-tale drama since Season 2, has been cast in the recurring role of Valerie Vale in Gotham Season 3.

According to TVLine, which first reported the casting news on Monday night, Valerie is the Gotham Gazette‘s newest hire. The site also describes her as “a crackerjack reporter dead set on uncovering the truth behind Indian Hill. Confident and dogged, she will do anything to get the scoop, and soon sets her sights on Gordon, who she believes is the key lead in her story.”

Furthermore, TVLine claims that Valerie will be the aunt of iconic DC Comics character Vicki Vale. However, there’s now word yet on when or if Valerie’s more famous niece will be appearing on the FOX drama.

In addition to Once Upon a Time, Chung’s TV credits include series-regular roles on the comedy Resident Advisors and the drama Believe and guest appearances on numerous series, including GreekGrey’s Anatomy, and CSI: NY.

Gotham Season 3 kicks off on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. on FOX.
