Game of Thrones Preview: Snow Rising and Bran’s Visions Continue

game of thrones

This Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones was a shocker. Not only that, but it was a kind of good we hadn’t seen since last season. You can read our review here. But next week’s episode will have the honor to follow up from that shocker. Well, from the snow-shocked wildlings you see in the preview, looks like we’re gonna have that follow-up. I don’t know why I expected them to delay that a week, but it’s happening sooner. Good for us, really. More on Jon Snow later. Let’s talk about Arya. We all know she’s gonna get her sight back at some point, but don’t you think we should find out more about The Waif and The Kindly Man? I mean I’m pretty sure he’s Jaqen and Syrio Forel(her trainer in Season 1), but it’s about time the show addressed the Syrio connection. From the looks of the Preview, it looks like Arya gets beaten up some more. Now here’s the problem: I expected all of this to stop. It’s like the show doesn’t know what to do with Arya anymore so they’re just focusing on her training. I mean, if that’s all you’re gonna show us, then maybe you should stop.

There’s other stuff in there too. But the biggest thing to notice here is the Tower of Joy scene. We have Young Ned Stark being played by Discount Sean Bean. The little guy at front is obviously Howland Reed. Out of the two Kingsguard, one of them is Ser Arthur Dayne The Sword of the Morning and Ser Gerold Hightower Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. It should be noted that this fight happens outside the tower of Joy. I won’t spoil it for you but book readers know what’s next. R+L=J confirmed people. I’m sure of it.

Oh, and in case you think I’m forgetting Dany marches into Vaes Dothrak. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dany didn’t get any attention this episode. Enough is happening as is. Also, no scenes from Pyke. But I’m sure we’ll see some of the Kingsmoot this time. Also, no Tyrion but that’s another sure bet you can make. Last week’s Tyrion scenes were awesome and I can’t wait to see him ride a dragon.

Game of Thrones airs on Sundays at 9:00 P.M on HBO
