I Capture The Cycle Of Life In Vines My Wife Brought To Our Garden Years Ago (9 Pics)

Years ago, while landscaping, my wife brought home some passion flower vines she had cleaned out of someone’s flowerbed. We put it in a pot next to our patio and now it covers four trellises, making a small living privacy fence for us.

The best part about our vine is watching its life cycle and the cycle of life of a particular critter it supports.

#3 We Even Got Tons Of Maypops On It This Year

#4 And To Lay Eggs

#5 Then The Caterpillars Started Appearing And Eating Too

#6 They Will Eventually Strip All The Leaves…

#7 And We Will Have More Chrysalises Than Leaves On The Vines

#8 Then We Will Have Tons Of Butterflies Flitting All Around!

#9 And Next Spring The Passion Flower Vine Will Spring Anew For The Next Generation
