I am in the lucky position to have actually experienced this. I was arrested outside my family home (it was mistaken identity).
My mum confessed that she’d thought I’d “finally killed someone”.
My Dad and 2 of my sisters thought it was most likely vandalism, or drunken antics.
My other sister thought I’d beaten-up her ex for calling her a sl*t aroung town.

Little brother: lying (he has this weird story that i don’t remember and don’t hink happen thst he throws at me all the time when he’s mad)
Mom: i dunno
Dad: not correctly washing the dishes (its a crime in his eyes)
Big sister: Hurting my brother (it would be accidentally and she would still yell at me when I was pushing his hand away after he hit me for no reason)
