In 2018, it was then announced that the two were filing for divorce. However, they were soon spotted together and in 2022, they welcomed their daughter Isabel into the world. In one particular scene, Goth delivers an 8-minute monologue where her character confesses her atrocious sins. The shot was filmed in one take and Goth reportedly filmed the scene multiple times. When speaking with Bloody Disgusting, Pearl writer and director Ti West praised her performance, saying: “She’s on another planet for all that. This is just a complete tour de force and credit to Mia, who A, could do it six times in a row in a day, and B, all of them were good, and she didn’t mess it up. She came in so ready and prepared that we just got out of her way.”

It may come as a shock that one of the world’s biggest stars isn’t on any social media platforms. While many stars opt out for privacy reasons, Mia Goth has a unique explanation as to why she doesn’t engage in social media. When speaking with Vanity Fair, Goth said the she was inspired by Cate Blanchett, who also has no social media presence. Goth said that her “one-time slight desire to get on Instagram was quashed when she learned Blanchett herself is not on the app.”

Her Creative Talents Extend Beyond Acting

As well as being an accomplished model and actress, Mia Goth has explored other creative avenues. After the glaring success of X (which was produced for $1 million and grossed $15 million), Goth became engrossed in the character of Pearl. To that, 2022’s Pearl was spawned, and Ti West and Goth wrote the story together. The movie was made in short succession of X, and was kept a secret during the filming process. Goth also acted an an executive producer on the movie. In 2024, Goth remained heavily involved in West’s trilogy, and served as a main producer on MaXXXine, as well as the lead star.
