Kaitlyn “Kaity” Biggar is a reality television personality. Biggar is popularly known for being a contestant on season 27 of The Bachelor. The Bachelor is an American dating and relationship reality television series. The show debuted on ABC on March 25, 2002. The show revolves around a single bachelor who begins with a pool of romantic interests from which he is expected to select a fiancé.
She won the show against 29 other women. Her time on the show wasn’t the smoothest but she came out victorious either way. Kaity Biggar ended her time on The Bachelor with a proposal from Zach Shallcross.
Who Is Kaity Biggar?
Kaity Biggar hails from Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She is also really passionate about her career, has a great sense of humour, and is extremely down to earth. Her biological father left when she was just four years old. Her mother’s subsequent boyfriend then became the man she looked up to in the following years, but he also left when she was a teenager. In the past, Kaity has admitted that she stayed in her last relationship for longer than she should have just because she didn’t want to lose another man in her life.
Kaity grew up figure skating. In 2016, she shared photos on her Instagram in her Blades of Glory Halloween costume paying tribute to her figure skating roots. Kaity works as an ER nurse in Austin, Texas. On Instagram, she refers to herself as a “travel nurse.” Kaity also loves roller coasters. She also enjoys swimming but has stated that she “hates that sharks may be swimming underneath her.”

As mentioned earlier Kaity Biggar is very passionate about her career and devoted as well. She never shies to flaunt the fact that she is a nurse on her Instagram. Kaity graduated from nursing school at Laurentian University in Ontario, Canada in June 2019. She shared moments of her graduation on Instagram with a photo of herself in cap and gown with the caption, “Nursing school survivor.” In January 2022, she posted an Instagram photo of her with a dog named Doc at Kingston General Hospital with the caption “Just what the doctor ordered,” she captioned the post. She currently works as an ER nurse in Austin, Texas.
Kaity Won Season 27 Of The Bachelor
Kaity came to look for love on season 27 of The Bachelor alongside 29 other women. In her introduction video from the Season 27 premiere, Biggar said, “I think it’s so cool that Zach and I live in the same city, and it would be crazy if it all works out in the end.” As she wheeled her suitcase to the car, she looked into the camera and said, “Alright, Zach. I hope you’re as excited as I am, cause I’m bringing you back to Austin with me.”
Prior to appearing on the show, she stated that Kaity Biggar was hoping to find the perfect man to start a family with. Her ABC bio reveals that a deal breaker for her would be a man who doesn’t want kids. Kaity got the second one-on-one date of the season. She made her way to the top three and in the season finale, Zach Shallcross who was “the bachelor” had to choose who he wanted to exchange vows with between Kaity and Gabi Elnicki.
Her Relationship With Zach Shallcross
Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross hit it off almost instantly. To begin with, they both live in Austin, Texas. In the first episode of the show when she got out of the limo she said, “You are so handsome!” referring to Zach. The pair even kissed in the first episode. Zach had previously stated that Kaity was “an absolute sweetheart” whom he had his eyes on from the start. In the third week, they had their first one-on-one date.
They had a second one-on-one date in the seventh week. Zach also met Kaity’s mother in the hometown episode which was filmed in Austin and apparently, production didn’t like the fact that people were taking videos of it. Zach’s behaviour during the Fantasy Suite episode caused some problems between him and Kaity. Kaity was upset when Zach told her that he had slept with Gabi after previously deciding that he didn’t want to have sex on the show. They eventually spent the night together in the fantasy suite during the March 20 episode. However, they were able to get through it, and Kaity accepted a rose and a proposal from Zach at the end. In his first post-finale Instagram, Shallcross called Kaity the “love of my life”.
What Is Kaity Biggar Up To Currently?
During the After the Final Rose episode which aired in March, Kaity and Zach revealed their plans to move in together in Austin, Texas. On July 9, Kaity took to Instagram to confirm that she and Zach have finally moved in together in Austin with the caption “Officially roommates.” The couple said they plan to get married around 2025, and may even invite a few other members of Bachelor Nation to the ceremony.
Although the couple are engaged, the couple have stated there’s no rush and are waiting to “see how things go.” Kaity who loves to travel mentioned that she and her fiancee are hoping to travel and she also wants a beach house. She also wants to have some kids someday.
