Tonight, 90210 had revelations galore tonight as the respective storylines hit a boiling point, pitting our West Bev gang into the next phase of what could be a tumultuous senior year.
Silver Regains Her Brain Power
Did anyone else smirk (or rolled their eyes in a “Thank GOD!” fashion) when Silver finally put two and two together about Cannon? It was like Silver finally took her aspirations to be an journalist to heart and actually used the talent the Good Lord gave her. I was hoping that she had of given Cannon a piece of her mind to let him know that he’d been caught. However, Silver ran to Naomi, the source of her new unease with Mr. Sleaze, and found her dear friend slumped over after an apparent suicide attempt. How long will it be before these two take Mr. Cannon down? And most importantly, who will believe them?
Oscar’s Vengeance Revealed…
So Laurel did something to Oscar’s dad and the kid is now seeking revenge? Wow, well I wonder how many more hearts Laurel has broken (and if more psychotic kids are plotting a Sawyer-like revenge plot), because I doubt that Oscar’s dad is the worst. Also, what horrid thing could Laurel have done to Oscar’s dad to incite childish revenge? I’m eager to know how this turns out, because it could get sinister in the long run.
In related news, Oscar revealed Ivy’s virginity to Dixon, who flipped out at Ivy over it being kept from him. I have two problems with this development: 1) I’m still trying to figure out what the hell Ivy and Liam were doing last year in their hook up sessions and, 2) why would Dixon get mad at Ivy about that? I understand the whole keeping secrets thing, but maybe she just wasn’t ready to reveal that info just yet? Even if that little lovers’ quarrel lead to the revelation that Ivy’s father is a deadbeat, it still received a “Really?!” reaction out of me.
Annie? We Want Those Eggs
Annie has stumbled into another level of weird this year with her new boss asking to purchase her eggs for fertilization.
Wow. My resignation would’ve hit the desk super quick, but that’s just me. So the questions with this storyline are as follows: was Annie actually hired for her tenacity or because her physique is near flawless? Will our resident drama magnet actually do the deed? Either way, this scenario might lead to us seeing even more ugly plaid on Annie this year. Excuse me while I vomit…
Adrianna, Why Are You Lying?
Adrianna has been caught red-handed and looked like a doe about to get eaten by a pissed, wild bear when Javier’s uncle dropped the bomb on her about the stolen music. How far will this go? Will Ade have to do crazy acts to be cleared of this lie? Also, when the smoke clears, will Navid still be standing by her side? I’m sorry, but that guy can only take so much.
Teddy: Coming Out Soon To a Teen Drama Near You
The rock has been pushed for Teddy’s coming out storyline this week, with Teddy’s one night stand being a guy. The reveal was tastefully done, but it came sort of left field in a way. Maybe we we’ll get a flashback sequence to what took place? Even though the guy promised Teddy that their secret tryst is safe with him, I’m still sure Teddy will screw that up all on his own. Meanwhile, how will this affect Silver in the end?
West Bev’s Class of 2011
The video time capsule was pretty fun. It reminded me a bit of the original 90210, but what was even funnier was the introduction of Harper (Hayley Holmes), who reminded me of an old high school friend and Taylor from The OC all in one. She was too damn hyped up about the video time capsule and I wouldn’t mind seeing more of her down the line.
Pretty solid episode, especially with the plots all making a turn to their next level of craziness. What did you guys think?
