The television series True Blood has created quite a following over the years and actress Carrie Preston has definitely built a powerful fan base as one of the show’s most powerful and popular characters. When a show has created as much momentum as True Blood, there are a bunch fans who go out of their way to learn as much as they possibly can about their favorite character, and the fans of Carrie Preston are no different. However, despite the greatest efforts of some of the show’s most intense fanatics, there are still multitudinous things that you don’t know about Carrie Preston, but the actress has decided to share the facts that she feels her fans don’t know but should know.
Following are five things that you don’t know about Carrie Preston.
1. Her Husband Was on the Cast of Lost
It seems like a lifetime since the show Lost literally shut down the airwaves of television. There were times where it seemed that everyone in America was watching that show. As it turns out, Carrie’s husband, Michael Emerson, played the role of Ben Linus on the once dominant show. Now it gets even crazier. She actually appeared on the show as Ben’s mother. It is virtually impossible to imagine that scene, with such a beautiful woman.
2. Red is Not Her Natural Hair Color
This may come as a major shock to a large number of fans, but those gorgeous red locks that everyone loves to see Carrie wear are not hers – not exactly. Her natural hair color is not red; Carrie is actually Blonde. So, the first three seasons of True Bloods, she wore and wig, and then she finally became bold enough to permanently dye her hair red for the fourth season. She said that dying her hair was actually extremely liberating.
3. She Started Her First Production Company When She Was 12
It seems that even at the ripe old age of 12 that Carrie understood the power in being a business owner. At a time when other children were starting over-priced lemon stands and charging premium prices based solely on the value of their cuteness and front yard appeal, Carrie was learning the dynamics of bringing a film idea from concept to reality. She was only getting started, but the key is that she was getting started.
4. She Was On Law Order Three Times
Okay, what actor has not been on Law & Order at least one time. The show was on the air for so long, it is not really that shocking that Carrie Preston made the long list of top tier actors that found their way onto the show. What may be a little surprising is that she appeared on the show for a total of three times. Maybe this was doing a time when things were slow, or maybe she actually liked working with the producers and crew of the show, but it is what it is.
5. She is a Julliard Graduate
Why is this not surprising. Juilliard is undoubtedly one of the most prolific generators of obscene talent the world has every seen. There are some schools that simply have the prestige based on the students that once graced their halls and later became famous, but here are other schools that provide those students with everything they need to ensure that they become famous. Julliard is the latter, the school produces and enhances talent, and Carrie Preston is a product of its potency.
