Cosplay is king, er, queen, ah, well it’s the biggest thing going right now in the comic book world and it’s gaining speed with each passing year as people continue fashion costumes that are amazing and absolutely stunning in their attention to detail. Each and every cosplayer on this list could easily pass for the real thing given that they’ve put their heart and soul into their costumes. In fact a few of them could actually rival their on screen heroes.
Julie Diaz – @pjmedia_ (Wonder Woman)
Wonder Woman has been one of the biggest costumes seen throughout cosplay conventions even before Patty Jenkins put her blockbuster film to work, but now you definitely see the switch from the Linda Carter version to the Gal Gadot.
Miranda Hedman (Rule 63 Joker)
The Rule 63 Joker is a big step forward as fans are refusing to let men have all the fun by allowing gender bent characters to emerge in a big way. After all, women can look just as good in the role of a male character as men can. Sometimes even better.
Victor Stone- jax_cosplay (Cyborg)
This outfit is just sheer genius because it can’t possibly be store bought and it has to be pieced together one laborious piece at a time. There’s no room for error if you really want to get this cosplay costume right, and everything has to be right down to the glowing lights.
Jason Evans (Superman)
This guy goes the extra mile by crafting all of his own costumes. Just imagine what it took to make this Superman outfit and actually do it right. That’s impressive.
mauldol (Etta Candy)
So try to focus on Etta Candy and not Wonder Woman in this one since Etta is the cosplay that’s on display. The secretary from Wonder Woman has been getting a lot of play lately and has become one of the more popular characters.
Laura Gilbert (Harley Quinn)
Not many women go to the length of cosplaying the role of Harley Quinn post-battle but this is one disturbing, albeit impressive sight. Somehow the Daddy’s Lil Monster just pops right out you like a warning sign.
James Kemp- jmkemp (Battle Suit Batman)
This is another costume that can’t be fully bought that easily. It’s usually better to piece it together as you go and integrate each piece into the other so that it flows and blends. It creates an awesome effect.
Lindsette17 (Enchantress)
This is the kind of costume that you can’t overdo but should never try to do any less. It’s a fine balance that the Enchantress requires to really come off as something unique and yet justifiably true to the character.
Raquel Sparrow (Rule 63 Aquaman)
So here we go with a Rule 63 Aquaman and it is nothing less than awesome. Jason Momoa might have some competition if he’s not careful.
Bobby Ruth (Deadshot)
This is straight up dedication. The cosplayer under the mask even goes so far as to keep the bald look like Will Smith in the movie.
Stevie Dee (Robin)
If you recognize this suit it’s because you saw in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
nyamunyanko (Antiope), luna_th (Wonder Woman), moya_sw (Queen Hippolyta)
Give credit where it’s due, these young women were faithful to every design.
YusufDaza (Aquaman), Haute_Cosplay (Mera)
The guy looks so much like Momoa it might be possible that he’s a stunt double.
Sergey Chekhranov (The Joker)
This almost looks like a younger, possibly less demented version of the Joker. Is there such a thing?
pheelgoodcosplay (The Flash)
Everyone in this picture is absolutely impressive, but the Flash is definitely rocking an ingenious design that looks stunningly similar to that in the upcoming Justice League movie.
It’s kind of mind-boggling to think how long this kind of thing takes, but the result is nothing short of amazing.
