10 Things You Didn’t Know about Stephanie Szostak

In some ways it’s easy to find out who people are with a few keystrokes and a good idea what you’re looking for when it comes to what they’re known for, but now and again there are still those that don’t always get as much attention despite the fact that they stand in with some of the Hollywood heavyweights. Stephanie Szostak has been in several movies at this point in her career with big-name actors that have allowed said movies to flourish and attain box office success and yet if you asked the average person about her they might wonder who you’re talking about. That being said she’s been able to be just as great as she needs to be for someone that didn’t intend on becoming a part of show business early on in life. In fact her entire career seems to have been kind of an accident, but a happy one no doubt.

Here are a few things you might not have known about Stephanie.

10. Initially she never thought of becoming an actress.

It’s true, she had no designs on stepping in front of the camera, things just kind of happened that allowed her to realize this opportunity and she took it. One thing that anyone should know about life at this point is that it’s unpredictable and you can only learn how to navigate the turns when they come along.

9. She was a part of the marketing department at Chanel for a while.

In fact this is where she eventually got into modeling and then got into acting because of it. She was convinced to become a model for the company and things just kind of kept rolling along that track for a while.

8. Stephanie got into acting at the age of 29.

This was about 3 years after she’d started modeling and The Devil Wears Prada was one of her first real experiences in the business, meaning she had to be in there with the likes of Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci to begin with. That might seem rough but it’s also a very big opportunity to show what a person can do.

7. She played varsity golf in college.

When someone says they play golf a lot of people still scoff since folks tend to think that golf is whacking a ball and then walking after it. There is a lot of skill involved in the sport however and if you try it you might find that it’s not quite that easy to master the game. The variables involved are simply insane at times. So varsity level is still impressive.

6. Her career really started out with what is called a fluke photo session.

Stephanie still kind of laughs at how her career kicked off since she was talked into doing the photo session but didn’t think that anything would ever come of it. Obviously someone behind the lens was impressed.

5. There’s not a whole lot of personal information about her on the internet.

Some folks don’t offer up a lot when it comes to their lives as far as the internet goes. This could be construed as a wise move or just their own sense of precaution against people thinking that they can monopolize their time with inane requests and fan mail whenever they please.

4. She is on social media but her following is relatively small.

Where some people have hundreds of thousands if not millions of followers Stephanie has a very conservative 18 thousand and doesn’t seem to be pushing to make it any greater. That seems like a manageable amount of people to keep happy with her comings and goings.

3. A lot of times she’ll post pictures of her family to show how well they’re getting along.

One could assume that she’s very proud of her family and has a lot of love for them since she does share their images on social media at least and seems like a very happy woman. One of the things about being a celebrity that everyone takes for granted is that they have all the time in the world for their families when the opposite is usually true. Stephanie however does seem to make the time and seems quite content with her life at this point.

2. Her net worth is around $850k.

It might not seem like a lot compared to other stars but keep in mind that she got started kind of late in life by comparison and hasn’t done quite as much. But it’s still a fair amount since she’s been in several movies that have produced very pleasing box office numbers.

1. She keeps her personal and professional lives fairly separate.

This seems to be key in show business since otherwise the overlap between the two might come to be viewed as something of an issue for many people. But she’s done well in keeping her home life and work life where they need to be.

Look her up, she’s done more than you might think.
