Zac Efron stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his new film Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, which hits theaters tomorrow. And while Efron and Fallon didn’t talk about the star’s own college days (fun fact: Zac Efron went to Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, a community college in Santa Monica, for one year), they did look back at his past, as Fallon brought out an old photo of Efron from back in eighth grade.
The picture featured Efron with quite the interesting hairdo. It turns out that back when he was an eighth grader, he lied about his age so that he could go to a summer camp for the arts. However, since the camp was filled with mainly juniors and seniors in high school, and only a few freshmen and sophomores, Efron was the youngest person there, so he allowed the older girls to crimp his hair for him.
When Fallon asked him if he thought he could pull of that type of hairstyle now, Efron laughed before the Tonight Show host pulled out a crimped hair wig for him to try on. But Efron wasn’t alone in wearing the wig; Fallon also put one on, and he somewhat looked like his character from Almost Famous, minus the beard.
“Does it look as good as it feels?” Efron asked. “It feels amazing.”
