Young and the Restless Couples We Wish Made It

Young and the Restless fans might agree that there are some couples around here who tend to make the most of their time together, and then there are those who don’t make it work. There are also some who have the best parts of their lives right before their eyes, and they choose to do nothing about it. They don’t seem to find the time, the ability, and the situational love in their lives to make things work. They do, however, make their decisions in another way. They do what works for them in the moment, even if that is not what they want in any other way. They are not going to find things working for them in a way that is good for them, but we do think that they could make it work if they tried. These are some of the very best couples in the show’s history, and we just wish they could have found a way to make it work.

Dylan and Sharon

Go ahead and argue with us, but we think they were far better than the couple that she is with Nick. Nick is too wishy washy for us. And while we get that Dylan had to leave for the entire witness protection situation and that she has kids she cannot keep from their other parent and that there was a lot that had to go down in their lives, we do know that there is a lot that they had to do on their own, too. And we do know that there is a lot that we cannot get over in our lives. We are very highly aware of the fact that they just never could work out in that light, but he really got her. She was a liar and a woman who did things behind his back, but he always found it in his heart to forgive her and make things work with her. It’s like he knew who she was as a person, and he was totally all right with that in every single manner. We miss them, and we miss how well they worked when they were together.

Jack and Phyllis

We love them together. She’s smart, she’s ambitious, she is powerful, and she is everything a man like Jack needs in his life. She’s gorgeous and younger and she can play the role he needs in his life like it’s her job. She’s good at what she does, and she’s not just a sit behind the scenes kind of woman who wants to be a pampered housewife while her husband makes all the money and she lives a different life than he is living. She wants to be involved, she wants the power and the prestige that comes with being someone who works hard and finds the kind of importance in her life that she really wants. And that’s all she has to do and say. And he needs that. She’s going to provide him with a challenge, with an equal partnership, and he’s going to do the same. And that’s what is going to work for them. We wish they could have made that work in some way other than what they are dealing with right now.

Victoria and Billy

We don’t really love either rof them, if you want us to be honest with you. He’s too immature, but so is she. She’s too wishy washy and upset and emotional and not very strong, and he’s just a big overgrown kid with too much money and not enough brains to go with it. And that’s what works for them. They are a terrible couple with anyone else, but their lack of power and maturity works well with them when they are together. They are like a couple of big kids who just want to have fun and make a mess of their lives while pretending to be grown ups with one another even though that’s not what they are doing with one another. And that works in some weird, strange, and totally uncommon way for them. They have what it takes to work if they allow it, and we like that about them. They seem to make things work.
