Young and the Restless fans are all worried about Nikki, Vickie, Phyllis, and Sharon. They did a bad thing. Well, they didn’t do that bad of a thing, really. Nikki did a pretty bad thing, and what they did was not really great, but they were only being helpful, and he JT was an abuser. So no one cares if he lives or dies. When you are abusive, it’s hard to take your side. We know that doesn’t make it right or anything like that, but we get it. We like it on television, and we aren’t looking for these women to go to prison. The good news, however, is that they probably will not. Why do we think that? Things seem so hopeless and upsetting for them in the moment, and it certainly does not appear that they are going to have anything good to look forward to. They confessed. The evidence is there. They are going to face a trial and go to prison, right?
Not if Thad Luckinbill is returning to the show. And he is.
That’s right, he has decided to come back to the show, and it was confirmed via Twitter. The actor posted a photo of himself on the set of the hit soap sipping a cup of coffee and posing while he waited between takes. And that means one thing — he’s back. But, is he back back, or is he only back for a second? Will he be back long enough to film some flashback kind of storyline that doesn’t work for us? Will he film something else? Will he be there because JT is not really dead? We are all hoping for the latter, of course. We want him to be back from the dead so that these women can get their lives back.
Rey has been working so hard for so many months to build a case for this man’s murder, but was he really murdered? Was there and could there be more to it than that? Is there a chance he is not dead? Here is a death that doesn’t have a body, even though the women put the body in the ground. There’s a lot that might not make a lot of sense right now, but it’s really hard to send four women to prison for murder and accessory after the fact when there is not a dead man to be found. Right now all they have is speculation that this happened, even if there is a witness testimony from the woman who actually committed the murder in which she does come out and admit that she did this.
There’s so much that might make little sense around here, but what happens when we cannot figure it out on our own? What happens when he is not dead and there is no body and he shows up all alive and stuff? Will that work for anyone? Or will they continue to have issues that we cannot handle? We don’t know, but we do assume he has to be alive. What we don’t know, of course, is precisely when he will show up and be there to make it hard to charge these women with murder. We assume it must be soon as most soaps only film about six weeks out. That means, to us, anyway, he could be back anytime in late March or early April. And means he might just have some additional work to do to get things to work in his favor. Right now, though, we are just trying to decide how to do this. How to go, and how to make things work.
We also want to know what you think will happen and how you feel this will go down. Do you see him as a man coming home to make everyone pay for almost killing him? Or do you see him trying to stay hidden so that these women go to prison for their actions? Perhaps he is not in Genoa City but living his life elsewhere, and Rey only happened to track him down and we will not see him show up where he is though tot be. We don’t know.
