At the end of “Another Trip Around the Sun” viewers were left with a lot more questions than answers. So, what’s coming up on this week’s episode of Salvation? More questions of course! Here’s the official press-release blurb from CBS.
“Truth or Darius” — It’s a race against time as Darius must accelerate his plan to stop the asteroid before the Pentagon shuts him down. Also, Grace has to make difficult decisions that could have life or death consequences for millions of people, and Liam and Jillian reunite under surprising circumstances, on SALVATION, Wednesday, July 26(9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As you can see from the above photo, something goes very wrong on this week’s episode of Salvation. Could it be that they are watching something tech genius Darius Tanz (Santiago Cabrera) made? Then there’s even more angst for the Pentagon’s spin doctor Grace Barrows (Jennifer Finnigan). What on earth could she have to decide that could have “life or death consequences”? It’s not like she’s in charge! Maybe the promo has some clues?

Grace had better not be pregnant! Do you think they’ll go there? Even so, that’s not a decision about the life or death of millions of people. Hmm….
Aside from whatever is going on with Grace this week’s episode of Salvation looks exciting! Sex, guns, and black ops guys – oh my! Luckily, Liam Cole (Charlie Rowe) seems to be handling his gun alright. Of course, back in the pilot, he outsmarted the government goons who ransacked the apartment of his professor, Dr. Malcolm Croft (Dennis Boutsikaris). Last week he caught on to being tailed. …I bet Liam didn’t know that his going to M.I.T. would included training on how to become Jason Bourne! Yet, that may be exactly the kind of road he’s on. (Did you ever watch Chuck?)
I’ll give you one more teaser photo for this week’s episode of Salvation. The blurb says that Liam is going to reunite with his possible love of his life, sci-fi writer Jillian Hayes (Jacqueline Byers). Is the reporter Amanda Neel (Shazi Raja) going to be a help or a hinderance in this?
Trust me, Amanda is up to something. We already know she’ll do anything to get a story!
Salvation Theories for Episode 3
I’m guessing the black ops guys showing up have something to do with “Project Atlas.” Do you suspect the Atlas project may have to do with that plan to sacrifice a billion people Harris Edwards (Ian Anthony Dale) and Grace were arguing about? After all, we know from last week Harris is hiding something.
However, Darius seems like he may have a secret agenda as well. Remember that his original plan was a kind of “Noah’s Ark” space ship. That still could be his backup plan.
As for the episode title, “Truth or Darius” – maybe it has something to do with Grace having to make that choice. Does she go with the facts she knows, or bet on Darius creating something that’s never been done before? The trailer does pose the question about would you save the planet or save yourself. In “Truth or Darius” it could be the question everyone on Salvation is pondering.
