With the upcoming release of Zelda: Breath of the Wild people are starting to get The Legend of Zelda fever again. While it’s only been two years since the last Zelda release it almost feels like an eternity since we’ve seen anything new from the franchise. And correct me if I’m wrong but 2015’s Tri Force of Hero’s didn’t feel like some insanely popular release. But in only a week people will get to experience the Legend of Zelda again so we’ll see just how popular it gets again.
In honor of the franchise UK website Matinee put together a masterful infographic that takes us down memory lane by providing a timeline of every single Legend of Zelda game on every single Nintendo console starting with the original 1987 NES classic “The Legend of Zelda.” It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the franchise debut but it has.
Can you hear the theme song in your head right now? I certainly can. Which begs the question. Of everything you’re about to see on here? Which game is your favorite? I’m still going with the original from 1987 but I will say I was pretty obsessed with Ocarina of Time for a while.
