I’m going to start off by saying I wish a trailer like this didn’t make me cry. I wish we lived in a world where a movie like this didn’t even have to exist. But sadly, that’s not the world we live in. We live in a very judgemental, cruel, harsh place where if you look or act different chances are very likely you’re going to have a very rough time with your life. Such is the case with the movie Wonder (based on the Novel) which follows the life of an adorable boy Auggie Pullman who has had over 20 surgeries on his face yet his face is far from “normal.”
There’s a part of this trailer that reminds me of the 80s movie Mask but that they are using an even younger subject makes this film more touching. As a parent there are truly no words to describe this trailer and it’s damned near impossible not to cry the entire time you watch it. I don’t even know if I’ll muster up the courage to see this in the theaters but I truly hope that I and the lot of you will. Also, with Jacob Tremblay as the star with Julia Roberts playing his mother, there’s zero chance this movie fails.
