General Hospital fans are horrified, upset, and not at all happy about some news that broke earlier this week. The beautiful, talented, spectacular Billy Miller has made the decision to leave the show and the role he plays on General Hospital. He’s no longer going to be around as Drew. He spent years playing the role of Jason Morgan to a tee, which was no easy job considering the fact that the original man was so beloved. He did it, though, and fans were so excited when the OG Jason was back, and the new Jason got to play his twin. We would have been crushed if they’d simply replaced Miller as we all grew to love him. However, he has decided to leave the show. This hurts us, but we want to get to know more about Billy Miller; the man we feel accomplished the impossible turning into Jason Morgan.
He’s from the Midwest
Billy Miller is a man who knows a thing or two about big open spaces and vast ranges. He was born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas, which is a definite Midwest situation. He went to school there, he graduated college in Texas, and he spent the better part of his life there living his best life and being who he is. That might just explain why he is so good at what he does and why he always comes across as such a southern gentleman. He’s good at it, and we can see why he seems so nice. He’s one of the nice guys raised in the old-fashioned manner.
He’s a Model
Before he entered the world of acting, this man was a famous model. Well, we don’t know how famous he was as a model to be precise, but he was a model and there was a lot he was able to do. He was in the commercials. He was in advertisement. And that all worked out for him and led to him being cast in the acting business. He did well, too. We liked it, and we were not mad about it at all.
He’s Been on Many Soaps
This is an actor who has been around the block in terms of acting. He’s been on more than one soap. He spent years on All My Children, and he was the fourth Billy Abbott on the hit show Young and the Restless. Here’s another fun fact about that one, too; he and the man whose role he took over on General Hospital originally both starred on Young and the Restless at various points in their careers. They were good at it, and they were both recognized for their roles on the show.
He’s Very Private
If there is one thing we’ve learned about this man over the years, it is that he is not a very outgoing or loud person. He’s very private when it comes to his life. He’s done an amazing job of keeping his private life very private. Social media is not his thing. He’s not a fan of things like that, and he’s not someone who is going to give much effort into his situation. He is a man who doesn’t make it known to any and everyone what he is doing, what is he is up to and how he is living his life. He’s someone who likes to get things done on his own time, but he is someone who did make a very heartfelt statement to the people he considers his fans and his coworkers when he announced his departure.
He said he is filled with sadness and a goodbye, but that it is not a bad thing. He’s clearly ready to move on with his life and see what the future holds for him, and we get it. He’s been given a chance to do what he loves when he loves to do it, and that’s not something to take lightly or for granted. He is a man who loves his new role in life, and he is one who will forever remember this time in Port Charles with ample fondness and a love of his cast, coworkers, and his role as two great men.
