We all know that being in a relationship requires compromise, respect, and a lot of love. It’s easy to be in a relationship when you know you have to do a little giving, a little taking, and you have respect for your spouse. It’s not easy when you don’t have those things. Days of Our Lives fans know that many of the couples on this show do not have this kind of respect for one another, and they have nothing short of a totally toxic relationship. This is why we wanted to go over some of the most prominent couples on the show in the recent days and even recent past and discuss which ones we think are totally toxic. We might love them together because it’s television, but we can all probably admit that these couples are just plain bad for one another.
Sami and EJ
These two are one of our favorite couples, but we can all admit that they are literally so toxic for one another that it will never work. They are bad together. They are so bad they are good. They are both cons and criminals and people who will always put themselves first and for most over anyone else, and that does not make for a healthy relationship. But, we also know that there is nothing we can do to stop this from being the reality of it all. They have a great spark and amazing chemistry, but they are no good for one another. They spend more time hurting one another than they do loving one another, and that’s all there is to it. We have to point out that during their long relationship, Sami did try to kill him two times. He cheated on her, there were many issues, and they didn’t have the best time together during some of those times. We might not be relationship experts over here, but we think trying to kill your spouse is a sign of toxicity.
Kate and Stefano
We really do miss him. Every single time we write about him, we miss him. What a tragic loss of a true talent and a man who was well loved by his cast and friends and family. But, these two were bad for one another with all the classic signs of bad and awful relationship toxicity. Kate loves a bad boy, and that’s fine if she can find a bad boy who isn’t so bad that he makes her crazy. But she likes bad boys who kill people, take people, and do really bad things. She takes it to a new level. And she’s a little bit of a bad girl herself. She likes to get what she wants, so she’s wiling to do anything it takes to get to that point. She’s not afraid of what might happen in her life in many ways, but she’s also not someone who makes good relationship choices. She didn’t have much love for him, but they were great together with their self-proclaimed power. She used him for his money and prestige, and she made it work for herself.
Kristen and Brady
Let’s be clear here — they are not one of our favorite couples at all. They are bad for one another, and they never worked in our eyes. She was too obsessed with his father to be part of his life, but she did what she felt she had to do in her world. Brady might have a lot of ‘true loves of his life’ in his world, but this is not one of them. They were not good together. She decided she wanted to get John back in her life, so she began sleeping with his son. He seemed to not notice that this was a thing, and it was kind of awkward for all of us. She went so far as to hire a person to attack her right there where she knew that Brady would see it and then he would rescue her. She pretended to fall for him, he wasn’t sure what was going on entirely, but they began dating. It was toxic and beyond awful, and we all knew it. But, it lasted a lot longer than it should have. And he knew it was bad.
