The Five Best Kodak Black Songs of All-Time

It’s usually fair to say that such articles are meant to be about the music and the skill of the artist, and for the most part Kodak Black does seem to have some skills on the mic. But in life he seems to have absolutely no skill at all since the amount of legal trouble he’s been in throughout the years is indication that he’s not the most stable individual. Unfortunately Black is the kind of individual that many look at and wonder why he’s still able to walk the streets since for all he’s done and all he’s gone through at this point it reminds us that the average person without a record label in their back pocket would be in prison for a very long time with the charges he’s accrued and the admission that ‘he’s got a very a promising future in the music business’ working for him. Talented he might be, but Black is less than desired when it comes to anything that’s not involved with music.

Here are a few of his best songs.

5. Tunnel Vision

Through his music and his videos the message that Black seems to be sending is almost kind of hard to take since it gets pretty negative for a while, but if you know what he’s saying and can vibe with it then you might actually get into it. The whole idea about mumble rap however is that you really have to listen in order to get anything out of it. The imagery in the video is enough to show you that he’s got his own views about the world and how things go, especially in light of the current political stance that many people have. Whether it’s supposed to be ironic or not is kind of hard to tell unless you’re really listening.

4. Roll In Peace

There seems to be a lot of mockery in his videos as well as his music at some points but given that it’s all about freedom of speech in this country and you can say what you want so long as it doesn’t call for harm or incite a riot it’s not as negative a message as it could be. But one thing about Kodak Black after reading about him is that he’s taking the hood mentality to a new level even if he’s trying to change himself as he’s said. The mumbling is kind of hard to get around unless you can really understand it, but then again some people love it and can understand every word. Right now though it would seem that Kodak is someone that’s cashing in on fame that might not be meant to last.

3. Calling My Spirit

One impression of Kodak Black is that he’s the guy you like when you’re younger because he’s edgy, raw, and in your face with his music. But once you get older you start to realize that the life he’s pushing is not exactly the best life to emulate or really ride with since it might be about earning your stripes and getting yours while you can, but it’s not a sustainable lifestyle. It’s the idolized kind of life that seems to indicate that everything rough that could happen to a person is bound to be worth it in the end so long as you’re real and able to back up your own ego. It could be a message that’s not entirely accurate, but it’s what it appears to be.

2. ZEZE

One thing about Kodak is that he doesn’t seem to play well with others at all times since he’s had feuds with rappers that he’s supposedly been working with in the past. This is a strange industry where alliances and feuds run hand in hand with one another and seem to change more often than a high school girl changing her outfits from day to day. One moment things are all good and rappers are in tight with one another, and then the wrong thing gets said or someone doesn’t get paid and things fly off the rails at the speed of light. It’s a good thing that the world doesn’t operate this way in every aspect.

1. Wake Up In the Sky

This is when you know your career needs some help, when you get someone as great as Bruno Mars to show up in your song and video and he’s the main attraction that takes all the attention. Honestly, how many people thought this was still a Kodak Black song? It’s usually hard to say anything about an artist when its clear they have some talent, but in this case Kodak is the kind of guy that one has to wonder why he’s still popular, while at the same time understanding that people are going to like who they want.

Otherwise he’d be another performer that a lot of people feel should held responsible for the things he’s done.
