The Bold and the Beautiful fans felt so sad yesterday. It was not a fun way to start the week around here, but it was also not the kind of situation that could be put off any longer. We all remember last week when Liam fell hard for the baby that Steffy is adopting, and he told his wife that his own daughter now has a sister. She was crushed. Her baby was meant to be Kelly’s sister, but her baby died at birth. She’s blaming herself for being alone on that island when it happened. If she’d only been at home in the hospital when she went into labor instead of panicking that her husband was on a chopper in the middle of a horrible storm when she went into labor, things might have turned out differently. But she cannot change that. She met the baby. And it hurt her so badly.
She loved the baby. She didn’t hate this little girl or want to put her back into Steffy’s arms and move on without anything but a bad thought. She loved this baby more than she imagined, and she felt light and hopeful and wonderful holding this baby. She felt an instant connection to this baby, too, and that is something she did not expect. Now her feelings are all over the place, and it was difficult to watch. It was difficult to watch knowing that this baby is the baby that Hope gave birth to a few weeks ago. She was traded out because Reese needed to raise money to pay his debts, and this was the only way — to switch out her baby with a dead baby so he could sell Hope’s baby to Steffy. And now we are all just sitting here wondering how this will end.

Ridge is very uneasy about things all of a sudden. While he is very happy with his daughter and her decision to adopt this baby, he has been putting some pieces together in terms of what Reese is up to. He’s not sure he feels this is going well, and he’s not sure that the things he’s seen are very honest. He’s worried, and he has some questions. For one, why is this situation happening so fast and why is there so much cash and what is going on? And he has some big questions for Taylor that might not make her happy. He will show that he doesn’t trust Reese, and this will upset her. She likes him a lot, and she will feel her ex is just jealous, but he’s not. He’s on the right trail, and he knows that there is too much shade and haste in this adoption.
And we are not sure this will change. Zoe, on the other hand, is just as suspicious. She’s in her father’s apartment looking for something that will give her a clue about what is going on when Florence walks in, and Zoe wants some answers. She wants to know what is going on, why it is going on, and what is happening around here. And she’s not going to allow this to go any further than it already has. She’s in need of some help, and she’s going to get it no matter what it takes or how long it takes. She’s in it to win it.
