The analysis of Trump’s first 100 days in the White House have been negative at best. However, I think we’re all forgetting the one positive in all of the negative reviews. Steven Bannon isn’t and doesn’t appear that he’ll have nearly as much power as people once projected. This is a man who went from initially being one of Trump’s closest advisors practically making military decisions to quickly being in Trump’s doghouse because of his constant bickering with Jared Kushner. As Bannon continues to try and navigate his way around this administration, the media’s been having fun bringing up has past Hollywood aspirations.
The latest story that’s being talked about is his attempt to remake Shakespeare’s Coriolanus as a rap musical about the Los Angeles riots entitled The Thing I Am. While the press has eagerly eaten up pull quotes from it for months, the entire manuscript has now been discovered by NowThis. Seizing upon the moment, they have organized a full table read of the document, and it is really something to behold.
