General Hospital Spoilers: Old Flames Are On Fire!

General Hospital 1/20/16

Life can be really complicated. Just when you think you’re finally getting control over a situation, things usually end up taking surprise twists. For Jason, this is something he knows all too well, and it looks like he’s going to be reminded (in more ways than one) in the upcoming episodes. Although Jason’s memory has been an issue for him, recently he’s been able to recover some moments from his life, and there are plenty more where those came from. It looks like Jason will regain some more of his memory, and while he still not remember some of the horrible things he’s done, his old memories for Sam will come to the forefront. That’s right, for all the fans who love the idea of Jason and Sam ending up together, it looks like the possibility could now be coming to life. Not only will Jason remember how he felt about Sam, but those feelings will be coming back full force. It just so happens that Jason will be with Sam when he starts getting visions of the past, and this is just what the two needed to really take things to the next level. Sure, they have been getting closer for quite some time now, but with his memory quickly revealing itself, it looks like Jason and Sam are about to  shake things up quicker than anyone could have envisioned.

While some people may be happy to see these two love birds getting another shot at romance, there is at least one person who isn’t going to like that idea very much. Once Liz finds out that Jason and Sam have officially rekindled their old flame, there’s no doubt that she’s going to be upset. After all, she’s been hoping that her and Jason would get together, and their son, Jake has also been hoping the same. Recently, Jake’s actions towards Sam also indicate that there may be even more tension between the two. Jake doesn’t seem to care much that Sam is his brother’s mother, and the thought of her being with Jason might be enough to send little Jake over the edge. However, there is no way to predict how Sam and Jason will end. Sure, right now he’s remembering all of the good times they had together, and it’s clear that he’s going to fall in love with her again, but there’s no way it can end there. Once Jason starts recovering even more of his memory, he’s going to realize that things with Sam weren’t always peaches and cream. Having your head suddenly filled with old thoughts has to be a very difficult thing to deal with, and Jason may not know how to handle everything he is thinking and feeling. Plus, it’s always hard to make a decision when you don’t have all of the proper information, and until he’s able to remember everything, he’s always going to be stuck trying to piece things together.

Hopefully this situation won’t result in anyone getting hurt, but the way things have been going in Port Charles lately, nothing will really come as a surprise. But if one thing is for sure, it’s that Jason just can’t catch a break. With Liz and Jake both unhappy about his rediscovered feelings for Sam, there’s a strong possibility that things could really get ugly.

Elsewhere, Johnny and Lulu are finally seeing all of their bad behavior catch up with them. After their whole operation was exposed they’re both left to wonder what their next move will be. As most people imagined, it didn’t take long for Valerie to connect her cousin to the situation, and having to deal with this type of betrayal is going to be a lot to take in. Although Lulu and Johnny only set out to hurt Valerie, it’s clear that they have affected lots of other people in the process. Yeah, all families have their own drama, but this is certainly taking things to another level. It’s starting to seem like no one in Port Charles is ever going to learn their lesson, but of course, that’s what makes them all so entertaining.

Tune into General Hospital on ABC at 2PM EST.
