While I wouldn’t consider myself to be a hockey buff, I will say that this year’s NHL All-Star game has just given me a reason to watch it on television. Snoop Dogg has officially been announced as a performer at the game. This in addition to Nick Jonas, Carly Rae Jepsen and Fifth Harmony. Here’s the official release:
“World-renowned rapper Snoop Dogg will open the 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star skills competition this Saturday at Staples center behind the turntables as Snoopadelic. The rapper turned DJ will perform a set on the ice during player introductions before the All-Stars showcase their hockey talents in six events. The 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star skills competition and DJ Snoopadelic performance will broadcast live on NBCSN in the U.S. and o CBS Sportsnet and TVA sports in Canada this Saturday, Jan 28th at 7pm EST/4pm PST.”
There’s just so much to like here it’s not even funny. Did anyone else know Snoop was into hockey? Neither did I. Did anyone know he was a DJ named Snoopadelic? Neither did I. One thing I do know is that Snoop Dogg is everywhere. I mean the guy has a cooking show with Martha Stewart right now. Everyone loves this guy. Is there anyone on the planet who doesn’t like Snoop Dogg? You’d be very hard pressed to find someone who dislikes him.
I feel like ever since Snoop hit the age of 40 he’s just doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and getting paid for it. There are truly no performers out there like him. He’s like Kramer in real life. See you at the All-Star Game Snoopadelic!
