Season 19 kicks off with a bang
America’s Got Talent (AGT) is back in full swing and Season 19 promises to be more exciting than ever. With Terry Crews hosting for the sixth consecutive season, the judging panel includes experienced faces: Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofía Vergara, and of course, the iconic Simon Cowell.
A new twist on the Golden Buzzer
This season, each judge will get two opportunities to press the coveted Golden Buzzer, while Terry will still have one push. This change aims to give more deserving acts a straight pass to the live shows. We used more Golden Buzzers in the first two days of filming, which I think is a good sign.

Among the many striking acts, contortionist Arshiya left both judges and audiences stunned. Her eerie performance was compared to scenes from ‘The Exorcist’. Howie Mandel called it, the scariest, most horrific dance recital I’d ever seen.

In an unexpected move, Simon Cowell hit his Golden Buzzer twice within a single episode – first for singer Liv Warfield and then again for an outdoor drone show by Sky Elements, a six-man, 1,000-drone group from Dallas. The mesmerizing drone performance left everyone in awe. The 64-year-old judge, executive producer, and franchise creator broke the rules by hitting his Golden Buzzer again
for the spectacular act by Sky Elements.
Judges’ reactions light up social media
The reactions of other judges were priceless. Howie Mandel was astonished, stating: With every passing year on this show, I’m speechless, and I never imagined I would see what I just saw.
Sofia Vergara was visibly moved by several performances. She stated during Gabriel Henrique’s audition that she was surprised by his challenging song choice.
The heated competition continues
This season has marked a significant shift in dynamics given that each judge now has double the power when it comes to deciding who gets an instant pass to the live shows. Early buzz indicates that we are set to see some stellar talent vying for the top spot. From singers to comedians and everything in between, this season is shaping up to be unforgettable.
