Is Showtime’s Twin Peaks Going to Be in 3D?

Up until this very moment the track record for the marketing of the upcoming season of Twin Peaks has been flawless.   Not on plot point has been given away.  Not one actor has really spoken about anything.  In fact the most we’ve gotten up until now are a few teasers, some “Missing Laura Palmer” posters in Australia and mysterious cherry pie billboards popping up all over the U.S.   I happen to find this perfect because it’s making fans crave the show even more.  Each time something comes out we hope it gives us a clue and it NEVER does.

But today’s news is something different and frankly a little disappointing.   According to Moviehole

A rumor that hit today suggests that one of the new elements of the series will be something creators David Lynch and Mark Frost just wouldn’t have been able to pull off in 1989 — well, not satisfyingly anyway.  Twin Peaks Archive reported a rumor that all the sequences set in The Red Room in the new series will be in 3D. Yup, people will be talking backwards, good Cooper will be lurking around red curtains and you’ll be watching it all unfold in the third dimension. Makes sense.

I personally hope this rumor remains a rumor because frankly I cannot stand 3D. Makes me nauseous.
