Seeing Pee Wee Herman as a T-Rex is Kind of Awesome

So Kevin Burwick kind of downplays the whole idea of what Pee Wee Herman would actually do if he caught up to the jeep, but seriously, seeing Pee Wee come riding out of the jungle seems like it would cause one of two reactions, and the other would be what you see in this fanmade video since his maniacal laughter is anything but needed in a dark and dangerous place like Jurassic Park. But yes, apart from this it’s just plain funny since Herman has been one of the guys that has made us laugh for quite a while if you can recall that he’s been around for at least a few different generations to enjoy. If not for the little snafu that got him arrested it might be said that he would have been seen as a rather wholesome and innocent entertainer throughout his entire career. He might be a lot stranger than a lot of kids’ entertainers, but up until that moment when he was busted no one had ever really questioned just how good he was for kids.

This isn’t the first time this clip from Jurassic Park has been utilized for a parody since honestly it is a great scene and it does leave itself open to a lot of different additions that people might feel are funny or simply different. Back in the day Pee Wee Herman was one of the funniest but also corniest guys around, a lot of us didn’t know why but we watched him over and over since the laughs never seemed to end even if we saw his movies and his show again and again. Of course he did get old after a while since the act couldn’t really change without taking something away Pee Wee’s character. In other words, making him grow up at some point would have kind of ruined the whole idea and possibly ruined part of our childhood. Watching him become a different character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer though was different, especially since it showed a different side of Paul that a lot of us hadn’t seen as of yet. But if you remember it’s not the first or only time that he was seen in a different role, as he was featured for a short period of time in the movie Matilda as well.

Jurassic Park on the other hand has never suffered a huge loss in its reputation other than the two sequels that came after it. The Lost World was still entertaining, as was the third movie in which Dr. Grant finally came back for a leading role. But they weren’t the same as the first one since the thrill of the CGI and mechanical monsters was kind of gone and the antagonists were becoming something that was a bit overplayed and over the top. In a sense the dinosaurs had to keep getting so outlandish and so out of control that people, especially those that had done their research, had started to turn on the idea and realized that the dinosaurs they were seeing could never have existed. In essence, the movie became more fiction and less fact since dinosaurs created in a lab are kind of like processed ‘meat’ that people put on their sandwiches. You can label it in any way you want, but the reality of what you’re seeing is something entirely different than what you might expect.

Mashing these two ideas together is kind of interesting since Pee Wee Herman is one of the last people you’d ever expect to see in a clip such as this since creating a clip in which he’s being looked at in abject horror is something that should set you to laughing. The idea is silly of course, but it’s so over the top that it’s nothing short of awesome since the fan that made this obviously had something in mind that might have made a lot of people go ‘huh?’ and look at them in a very odd manner. Videos like this make it obvious that some folks have a very odd sense of humor and like to let it out to run every now and then. That’s one of the greatest qualities any person could have, though at times it does tend to produce a few ideas that, when they get out, ramble around without a definable tether by with the creator can rein them in. Those kind of ideas tend to produce something like this since in all honesty the propensity for craziness is bound by nothing, especially not the internet. Ideas such as this are great since when they are let out to run they give us something to laugh at, something to ogle, and something to look at while wondering just how the person came up with it.
