Adult Swim made sure to bring Rick & Morty to San Diego Comic-Con 2016 in full force this year. The show has continued to be a massive hit drawing in new viewers with each season. Coming off of a strong second season finale, Rick & Morty was featured with prizes from the Adult Swim booth and also was a big draw to their outside “Adult Swim on the Green” attraction. The outside portion included live viewings and even a live reading of the show from creator and voice of both Rick & Morty, Justin Roiland.
On top of all this fun coverage, the cast and creators were awesome to speak with in the press room and did a great job with the panel for the show. TVOvermind was fortunate enough to speak with the creators and cast at SDCC 2016 and everyone was fantastic to speak with. Here we took the time to talk with Sarah Chalke about her character Beth, the way the second season finished up and what to possibly expect out of season 3. Chalke discusses how she loves getting to do the crazy space scenes and hopes to see Beth be incorporated into Rick & Morty’s off world madness more going forward. Her favorite episode was when Beth and Jerry went to the intergalactic couples therapy and got in over their heads.
Rick & Morty still hasn’t received an official season three premiere date just yet, but creator Dan Harmon has been hinting that fans could see the show possibly return by the end of 2016. Hopefully there will be an official announcement about the show’s return soon, but for now, check out the full interview with Sarah Chalke below!
