Robert Downey Jr. was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night as a part of the host’s Marvel Week, where cast members from the upcoming Captain America: Civil War are appearing on the show to discuss the film and the roles they play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, even though Downey plays Iron Man, who is essentially the second most important main character in Civil War, his and Kimmel’s conversation focused on another superhero that is introduced in the film: Spider-Man.
Kimmel mentioned how “fantastic” Spider-Man is in Civil War before bringing up the possibility of Tony Stark also appearing in the upcoming Spider-Man standalone film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. And while Downey couldn’t confirm that information (“We don’t have a contract yet,” he told Kimmel), he did praise his young costar, Tom Holland, who plays Marvel’s new version of the web-slinging superhero.
“He’s a British actor, you’ve seen him in other stuff before,” Downey said. “But he is fantastic….I like this Tom Holland guy.”

In addition to interviewing Robert Downey Jr., Kimmel also talked with a few other members of “Team Iron Man.” Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, and Revenge‘s Emily VanCamp all joined Downey to discuss their roles in Captain America: Civil War. Plus, Kimmel also quizzed them all with trivia questions to see how much they really know about each other. Check it out in the video below:
