On Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, there are secret plans, alliances and set ups all over the place. It seems that everyone has something to hide on this episode and there is nothing that anyone can see other than their own problems. We see this day that there are so many people so concerned about other issues that they are not focusing on the ones that matter, and we see how that might blow up in their faces just a bit in the grand scheme of life and all that it entails. Dylan is currently in a place that he has to focus on staying safe. Sharon is unhappy with his decision to become a detective, and she worries about the baby. She puts her worries and her fears on Dylan, sharing with him relief that he is not hurt in his job and that she worries so much about him all the time.
As if that is not stressful enough for Dylan, she also shares with him she fears that Sage will hurt the baby. Dylan will not allow this to happen, especially to his son. However, he is so caught up in work that he is now worried that he cannot do everything on his own. How can he protect his family and keep himself safe on the job when he has so much on his mind? Dylan has to get to work, where he has to deal with Sage on his own after her arrest. Though it appears that Sharon has no need to worry at the moment, because Sage and Nick are a bit preoccupied at the jail. As Sage is released, Nick hugs her and she apologizes.
These two are in the middle of a very elaborate plan to take down Dr. Anderson — who is trying to take them down at the same time — and she lost it a bit the day before when she hit the doctor. That led to her arrest, but she is out now. Nick tells her that she’s hot hitting the doctor, and they make up for lost time together, but not without discussing their plan a bit further. They have a lot of work to do if they are going to take her down and they have to get to it before it is too late for them. The two have agreed that Sage will continue to act up while Nick works to get closer to the doctor. They are almost sure that’s what she wants anyway, so they make it a point to argue in front of her when Nick calls the doctor to come down to the police station. Adam and Chelsea take a break from their romantic reunion to come to the jail, too, and Adam is not happy that Nick has allow any of this to happen to Sage, feeling as if he is taking the doctor’s side in the entire situation. He has no idea, of course, that they are working on a plan to take the doctor down.
Nick and the doctor seem to bond after they discuss how worried Nick is about Sage, and the doctor becomes angry after sharing a personal story. She leaves and Nick wonders if they are getting to her. In other hospital related news, Ashley cannot stop thinking about Billy. She saw what happened to his family when he was in his coma, and she knows it is a miracle that he was able to survive. She tells Dr. Neville that she never wants to make her family feel like that and that if the treatment he is giving her does not work, she wants him to end her life. He tells her that he doesn’t kill people, he saves their lives. However, Ashley and everyone else in the hospital knows that Dr. Neville is a rule-breaker when it suits him, so she’s not worried that she can convince him to do what she wants if it comes to it. They discuss her treatment a bit more, and down the hall Billy seems to have second thoughts about what he is doing with Phyllis. They have a conversation about their secret plan, and Billy tells her that he’s worried.
