The guys and gals over at Screenjunkies are at it again with their honest trailers. This week they decided to tackle Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It turns out that the Wizarding World has come to America and brought with it a pretty blasé franchise opener not even a Niffler would try to steal. In this installment we’re greeted with the following introduction:
From the magical mind of J.K Rowling, and the magical wallet of the head of the Harry Potter global franchise development team comes a movie based on a real fake textbook, based on a fake real textbook, briefly mentioned in two real Harry Potter books. Boy, we are really scraping the bottom of the barrel here aren’t we?
When the world ran out of Harry Potters the world still craved more so at some point the movie world had to give them at least something to remind them of all the good times that was Harry Potter. But at the same time studios decided, “meh, Harry Potter’s never happening again so you’ll have to settle for this, too bad.”
