Marshawn Lynch is Throwing a Block Party to Celebrate Being an Oakland Raider

Normally I wouldn’t pay much mind to any NFL player throwing any kind of block party.  However, when it’s Marshawn Lynch it’s something you take notice of.  Now that Lynch is officially an Oakland Raider he’s decided to have an all-out block party to celebrate.  According to TMZ:

We’re told the guest list includes names like Michael B. Jordan, E-40 and Derek Carr — not too shabby! The party will take over 3 city blocks surrounding Marshawn’s Beast Mode Apparel store near downtown. As one source put it, “It’s gonna be bonkers!” That’s not all … our sources say some of the Golden State Warriors are also expected to join in on the fun.

First of all, if I were in Oakland tomorrow that’s exactly where I’d be.  Second of all, I’m getting this really ominous feeling about the whole Marshawn Lynch in Oakland thing.  I feel like there’s way too much pressure on him to be one of the best backs in the league this year.  On top of that, I think fans are probably expecting at least playoffs but probably a Super Bowl run.  Don’t forget folks.  Lynch isn’t any younger.

I mean yeah, he’s Beast Mode but I think expectations should be greatly tempered.  Still though, this is going to be one hell of a block party.
