Longmire is a show about a small town sheriff that investigates crimes within his jurisdiction with the help of his deputies, his daughter, and a Cheyenne man named Henry that has been friends with since boyhood. A lot of the series managed to focus on the main character and the death of his wife, which he hid away from his daughter by telling her that her mother passed away from cancer. In truth she was murdered, and her reaction to learning this eventually is about what one would expect. Throughout series however Walt Longmire does the best he can to deal with the FBI after they confirm that the man responsible for killing his wife was found dead in a shallow grave. Walt denies doing it, but the FBI agent assigned to the case figures that if he didn’t then perhaps his friend Henry did. Loyalty is a big part of the show and while some display it proudly and don’t bother trying to get one over on Walt, others like Branch are attempting to unseat the sheriff in the next election. A lot of people fell in love with this show and it’s been one the more popular series on Netflix for a while now.
It’s one of those shows that you can’t help but keep watching until the final episode just to see what happens. So whatever happened to the cast of Longmire? See below:
Zahn McClarnon – Officer Mathias
The chief of Indian Affairs in the show, Zahn has a very extensive background in film and TV and has been acting since the early 90’s. Funnily enough he was in an episode of In Living Color. It’s assumed that he was an extra since he was there for one episode before moving on. But even after and perhaps during Longmire he’s been busy, as he’s been seen in Bone Tomahawk and also has a part in the popular show Westworld.
A. Martinez – Jacob Nighthorse
Martinez doesn’t have a lot of credits to his name, but those that do pop up are daytime drama series on networks such as ABC and CBS. He’s been active in the film and TV industries since the late 60’s so he’s been around, but as of now Longmire seems to be his most popular claim to fame.
Louanne Stephens – Ruby
She’s had a healthy career stemming from the late 80’s and has even appeared on Walker: Texas Ranger, and as a recurring character on Friday Night Lights. Recently however it looks as though Longmire has been the only show that she’s been working on.
Bailey Chase -Branch Connally
Branch is the man that’s attempting to unseat Longmire from his position as sheriff, but has not as of yet managed to do so. Bailey was in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he’s been in some hit TV shows since his time spent on Longmire. A few of those include Lucifer and the revamped Twin Peaks. He’s had a long and very successful career to this point and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
Adam Bartley – The Ferg
Adam’s resume is still growing but he has been in a few great shows such as Lucifer, This Is Us, and Bones. He was also in the horror move Annabelle: Creation, which was flat out terrifying since it showed just how the doll was created and then imbued with the evil spirit that vexed so many people in the movies.
Cassidy Freeman – Cady Longmire
Cassidy plays Walt’s long-suffering daughter and tends to worry about him quite a bit. In real life though Cassidy has had roles on such shows as NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans, and even Once Upon a Time back in 2013, where she played Jacqueline, the female version of the fabled Jack from the story of the beanstalk.
Lou Diamond Phillips – Henry Standing Bear
Phillips is one of the main, core stars on Longmire and has probably the longest resume of anyone on the show. He’s been in acting for a long time and is easy to spot anywhere he goes. Some of his best films and appearances since joining Longmire occurred in Criminal Minds, Training Day, The Ranch, and a few others. He’s been a great actor for so long that seeing him in a TV series is kind of surprising even while it’s not at the same time.
Katie Sackhoff – Victoria Moretti
Katie has done some stuff since joining the cast of Longmire and has been easy to spot through all of it. She was in the movie Riddick as a mercenary, as a tortured young woman in Oculus, and was also a part of the slightly controversial Power Rangers short film that came out a short while back that was not affiliated in any way with the popular kids’ series.
Robert Taylor – Walt Longmire
While he hasn’t done much since Longmire as far as TV goes, Robert is going to be appearing in The Meg when it comes out. The movie is about a shark known as a megalodon, a prehistoric beast thought to be long extinct. Needless to say it’s going to be a thrill ride.
So pretty much everyone’s been up to something since starting the show.
